With a cool breeze blowing, many members of the Manila Boat Club and Manila Men's Hash House Harriers, met at the Clubhouse to swap memories of Ted and pay their respects. At 8pm precisely, the Last Post was played and the flags lowered from their half-mast position on the club flagpole. Steve Banta then said a few words to the assembly and this was followed by some words from Tom Crouch on behalf of MMH3/ Allan Burrell recited his wonderful poem form Ted's 60th run. Steve Banta then took the white wreath and cast it into the Ilog Pasig as a symbol of SVO Ted's last journey downstream. The Clubhouse bell was tolled 8 times to sy farewell and then all resumed the task of drinking to the memory of Ted and ensuring it was just the sort of evening he would have enjoyed.
